I have seen my own phoenix die and from the ashes nothing did rise.

Burning eyes stair out over the earthly expanse. Dirty sneakers fill up with sand. And this heart beats against his skinny ribcage. With each rasping breath these lungs feel like they’re giving in. 

And how many times must I go round this circle before I reach the end. And how many lifetimes must I endure before I am content. 

And all the pain that opens up inside my heart every time that I’m dreaming.
