the clock has found us out;

In this second, I'd
cross over world-lines to find
a way to keep you safe from harm!
I'd tear through the fabric of time,
if I could protect your smile!
Then, again, I'll fall
into the hole that I made
and into another loop of time --
a lonely observer to pay,
and the paradox to reconcile!

Endless proofs and points of view;
still, to you, it isn't enough.
They're so meaningless,
they don't even make you laugh --
don't relieve the boredom.

Foolish! These so-called scientists
posit theorems, act like they know;
they are childish,
yet they claim [bad word] us all!
They aren't like us.

allowing time to flow on.
