“[Isis’ Lament (Sebastian Freij Remix)] is the first of three remixes [bad word] for this soundtrack. Sebastian plays cello on several pieces in this score (most notably on “Beneath the Desert Stars”), but one of his most unique talents is playing “live looped” electric cello. Seb played this entire piece in one single take, layering parts one at a time and using a system of foot pedals to arrange them live. When I first had the idea to include remixes in the score, I immediately thought of Seb reinterpreting one of my more melodic pieces in his own style, and so I’m very happy with how this performance turned out."
