When I was a just a youngster
Everybody wondered
Why pappy was so happy
And he lived to be a hunderd
He was smart as Albert Einstein
Honest as old Abe Lincoln
When I found out his secret was
I liked his way of thinkin'

Grandma, she was furious
I was just plain curious
I never took him serious                   
'Til he told me what his theory was
             
Hello happiness
So long lonliness

To pass on to my son

All things in moderation
How 'bout a small libation
On further consideration

Jesus was the one who turned
Water into wine
Some prayers are never answered
But I'll take that as a sign
Life is full of problems
