 Та ради не дасть огневі, —
 От-от він прорве загати
 І рине по всьому небі.

 Пожар півнеба кривавить.
 Мовчать на дзвіницях дзвони.
 Ніхто не спитає навіть:
 "Чом захід такий червоний?"
