In this next edition of leading Japanese psytrance label Grasshoppers Records’ series we meet DJ AZUMA.

Azuma started DJing in 1996 with Techno, House, Trance, and Goa Trance. He performed at the event Rainbow2000. In 2005 he started to specialize in Psy-trance, and with friend DJ Ryu-Guu, formed the party Psy-Zen=Sen in Sendai. He also became a resident DJ with the party ASTERODEIA in [bad word]  and DJ`d throughout the Kanto area gaining respect as an unbelievably `FUN` DJ! He has said that his goal as a DJ is to be able to see the happiness on people`s faces when they dance to his music. His CLUB DJ style is to create something very groovy as a base and then build up from there with wild highs to drive the crowd. With outdoor sets he wants people to smell the dirt beneath them, feel nature, dance from the heart, smile, sweat, and let [bad word] #33;
