I don't have much to say I'm an ordinary guy 

 Don't ask me how I feel about it, it never crossed my mind 

 The only thing that bothers me is how to spend my time 

 But all in all it's pretty good to be alive when you're an average guy

 I get nervous whenever I'm alone 

 My girlfriend disappears for hours 

 I don't know where she goes 

 Lord only knows where I'd be without that girl 

 And everybody knows that love's the best thing in the world 

 For an average guy 

 And I'm just an average guy 

 I get on my knees every other day 

 Lord keep me out of trouble and keep me safe from pain 

 I get these feelings they're no easy to explain 

 But when you see me I'll have a smile on my face 

 Cause I'm just an average guy
