Too Cool for the Crying Sun
Wandering the World
everyone everyone oh

***

So slick, I jump on the razorblade night
Trailing a silver thread like a spider

With those pathetic genetic memories
You are me
surfer riding on the waves of chaos
Betraying time

The nihilists who know nothing of decadence
Taste boredom so fine it melts gourmet tongues
All the senses bursting out
Senses going mad
Senses going wild
Turning turning the world is turning

So slick, I jump on the razorblade night
Trailing a silver thread like a spider

According to the Akashic records I found in an antique shop1
It seems that a divine wind will be blowing in the year 1999
It's probably the [bad word] whim of the Gods
Or the deed of an ultra-top-notch hacker!
Turning turning the world is turning

Too Cool for the Crying Sun
Wandering the World
everyone everyone oh

Note: In this post-World War II age, everyone thinks of suicide pilots when they hear the word “kamikaze,” or else the think “random word to slap on anything anyone wants to associate with Japan.” However, the term “kamikaze” actually originated in the 1200’s, when a fleet of Mongolian ships bound towards Japan from Korea was blown off course by typhoons, and was hence never able to attack. At this time, the Mongolian army was more powerful than the Japanese army, and if it [bad word] to an attack, the Japanese would almost certainly have lost. Hence, the Japanese felt they had been saved by the “divine winds.”

1) The Akashic records are a concept which is not specific to any one tradition. Supposedly, they are the divine record of everything in the universe: all past, present, and future events, and the feelings and actions of everyone and everything on earth from the beginning until the end of time, and if one meditates in the right way, one can learn to read them. Why bother when you can just find them in an antique shop? Also, Imai seems to be working with the notion here that one can “hack” into the records and change them.
