Stown away in a contending cell
a memorandum to no-one 
a deploring stream of grief slowly fell 
what a tedious mirage has done 

impassioned wanderings swarm his mind
recalling his insipid former years
an impoverished soul pleading with time
only a breath of wind shrouds his fear 

dimmed prevalence of mental anguish
alone and relinquished in his plight 
once an inventive antagonist 
a lively distant past out of sight

barren oasis of an essence 
cognizant of the dwindling time
yearning for divinations caress
early winter his foretelling sign
