Ο ύμνος της αγάπης - Гимн Любви (греч.) (исполнитель: Petros Gaitanos)

O Ymnos tis Agapis (Ο ύμνος της αγάπης)
Hymn to Love

My brothers (in Christ-meaning ‘fellow believers’) you all together, are the body of Christ. And you are His parts, each and every one of you, thus in the church, God has appointed everyone in his own separate role.

First apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, the ability to help others, leadership skills, different kinds of tongues.

Not everyone is Apostle, nor Prophets, nor all are Teachers. Not all are miracle workers, nor everyone speaks all languages and not everyone knows how to interpret those words. Use your ambition to try to get the greater gifts. And I’m going to show you a greater way.

Love.

If I could speak all the people’s languages, even the language of angels, but I don’t have love for my fellow people, my words sound like a copper bell or noise of a cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy and I am familiar to all the mysteries and all the knowledge of the world I do have, even the faith to move mountains, but I have no love, I am nothing.

If I give all my things to the poor, if I give my body to be burned in fire, but I don’t have love, it doesn’t do me any good.

The one who loves, is patient and kind.
One who loves is not jealous, one who loves is not showing off, nor take pride, has a nice behaviour, isn’t egoist or quick tempered. Forgets the bad that has been done upon him by others, is not happy seeing the wrong being done, but rejoices in the good work.

The one who loves, takes up with everything, takes [bad word] in everything, is hopeful for everything, suffers (endures) everything.
Love will never cease to exist.

Miraculous is God, through His Saints,
I foresaw the Lord in front of me for ever

To Corinthians, Paul’s first Epistle, reading:

Brothers ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am [bad word] as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing.
Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the [bad word]
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
 Love never faileth.
