It's based on the book The Collector. 
It's about this dude who's obsessed with this girl and he has like, no social skills so he never talks to her and one day he abducts her. 
He locks her in his cellar and he doesn't really do anything to her. He wants her to love him so he thinks that while she's locked up that she'll [bad word] to a realization that she loves him.

"Better make yourself at home
You're here to stay

All the doors are locked, all the windows shut"
