"I was trying to put the set list for the [bad word] tour together, and I thought, 'It would be nice to go from "Royal Station 4/16" to "Will You Still Love Me," because it's the same kind of progression and feeling. 'Will You Still Love Me' is one that I wrote after working with David Cole; I realized, 'I'm going to write a [bad word] from my soul.' I just went right inside and said, 'Yeah, this being in love is great, but what happens on the days that I'm not up to it?' I use the metaphor of 'the crowd screams for more,' I'm in the circus and I'm performing, but what about the days when I just can't? Will you still love me?" - Melissa Etheridge
