Introduction:
Dear ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you a little about the city of Sochi. Perhaps you have heard that it is called 'the pearl of the Black Sea'. And, of course, this gem really deserves this name because of stunning landscapes, air quality and impressive architecture. 
Geography and climate:
Being located in Krasnodar region between the worm Black Sea and the breathtaking Caucasus Mountains, Sochi borders on Abkhazia by coast and on Turkey by sea. The total area of our city is about 3,526 square km while its strand stretches for 145 km. Sochi' s location creates a subtropical climate, which enables various amazing plants from all over the world to grow here. The brightest examples of them are peculiar palms and the fragile Magnolia.

Nowadays Sochi, being rich in different nations and cultures, can boast a population of 500 000 people.
The city has an [bad word] majority (about 70 per cent) and a sizable Armenian minority ( 20 per cent) which is located mostly in the Adler district.
Religion:
As for religion, Sochi is a predominantly Christian city, though there are thought to be around 20 000 Muslims.
Transport:
Another important aspect of Sochi life is transport, the most requested kind of whiсh is microbus called [bad word] . And, naturally, you can get acquainted with it at any bus stop. Besides, our railway stations were renovated for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
Have you heard about the so-called ‘light metro’? This project seemed to be actual for our city. However, it was abandoned because it could have a negative impact on the look of Sochi.
Of course, you may have noticed that the terminal in our city is well – working and open all the year round.
