There are at least two music projects known as Telekinesis:

2. Telekinesis is Michael Benjamin Lerner, an indie rocker based out of Seattle who is currently signed to Merge Records.
Michael Benjamin Lerner performs and records indie rock under the moniker Telekinesis; however, while on tour he is joined by Chris Staples, David Broecker, and Jonie Broecker. All of the band members reside in Seattle, WA. The band signed to Merge Records in early 2009, and shortly afterward released the eponymously named debut album Telekinesis! on April 7, 2009. Recorded in September 2008, the album was produced, mixed, and engineered with the help of Chris Walla (guitarist for Death Cab For Cutie), recording one song per day on analog tape. The album was released on Merge Records on April 7, 2009.

Telekinesis have recently covered ELO's "Can't Get It Out Of My Head" for American Laundromat Records charity CD "Sing Me To Sleep - Indie Lullabies" The CD will be released worldwide on May 18, 2010.
