I ive in fear. No longer do I dare 
Explore the doubts that mingle in my mind. 
Insanity is like some vulturous bird 
Which sensing death now follows close behind. 
Gloating, howling, waiting its reward 
It sails so slowly patient, black, and sure. 
With claws full sharp it waits to pull apart 
The all-of-me that is, and what is more, 
Destroy the me which has not yet been born. 

Jaws dripping, dark, ready against the sky 
He knows I'm far from home and tired now 
And need to rest, dare not again ask, "Why?", 
And now must rest, and resting down must lie.
