Somewhere In The Night (исполнитель: Scott Bakula)
"Somewhere In The Night" is a popular ballad written by Richard Kerr and Will Jennings. The song charted for the duo of Batdorf & Rodney in 1975 and was a Top 20 hit for Helen Reddy on December 31st of that same year, but the best-known and most familiar version of the song for most listeners is Barry Manilow's version, which reached the U.S. Top Ten in early 1979. The song was also covered by Yvonne Elliman and can be heard on her album Rising Sun. There is also a song called "Somewhere In The Night" performed by actor Scott Bakula on the hit TV show Quantum Leap. "Somewhere In The Night" is featured in the Quantum Leap episode #045 "Piano Man" There is also a single CD out with a different version then the one on the episode, but the song is the same except for the beat. On the day I walked away All the blue rolled into gray Now in the dark, alone I lay Should have stopped But I could never ever stay. Somewhere in the night Inside my dreams you burn so bright And I'm with you there and everything’s alright Somewhere in the night Before the darkness turns to light Let me love you there, somewhere in the night. Second chances I won't get Wouldn’t dare to hope but yet Everywhere I turn I see your silhouette Been so long but I never will forget. Somewhere in the night Inside my dreams you burn so bright And I'm with you there and everything’s alright Somewhere in the night Before the darkness turns to light Let me love you there, somewhere in the night. Time after time, I find that I'm thinking about you. Up on the hill I see you still but I just can’t reach. Who would answer your prayer? Who would wait by the stair? Not Me... Not Me! Somewhere in the night Inside my dreams you burn so bright And I'm with you there and everything’s alright Somewhere in the night Before the darkness turns to light Let me see your face, Feel your warm embrace Let me love you somewhere in the night.
