BULBOUS KONK

Good sense of smell 
And a bulbous konk will let you smell out and tell 
The smallest tinges of all the smells in the world
We never do pronounce as we spell

If you dunno “What for”
You’ll never know for sure “When”, “Where” and “How”
You look so bloody artless
Hopelessly artless as a joke of a carpet clown

We wait with bated breath – we wanna know

You brag and boast
We’d like to test you
Are you ready to defend your honor
When some slums scum [bad word] upon you?

They take over
Those n’er-do-wells ion their flashy clobber
Killing silence over North, over South
Gilded youth is a golden tooth in our mouth
