Американская певица Q [bad word]  прежде чем начать петь работала в водителем Нью-йоркского такси. Известность к ней пришла после единственного хита, записанного в 1988 году - "Goodbye Horses".

Слова и музыка были написаны William-ом Garvey. Впервые композиция появилась на саундтреке к фильму "Замужем за мафией" (Married To The Mob) в 1988 году. В 1991 году он стал опять популярным, потому что был использован в фильме "Молчание ягнят" (The Silence of the Lambs). Именно под нее маньяк танцует и подпевает перед зеркалом. В 2006 году этот известный момент был обыгран в другом фильме Клерки 2 (Clercks II), на этот раз под нее танцевал Silent Bob.

Смысл песни заключался в следующем. Согласно восточной философии лошадь символизирует пять чувств – все то, что связывает нас с физической и материальной действительностью. Если преодолеть ограниченность этих чувств происходит переход на более высокий уровень сознания, и человек, сделавший это оставляет своих лошадей позади – пролетая над ними. Именно об этом переходе и поется в песне.
