I try not to fall asleep
the wind blows gently

catches me off-guard

crashing to the ground
but of scrapes and scars and broken bones
there's nothing to report

what is this thing I know is there?
what are these things I hear?
it taunts me with elusiveness
yet sometimes seems so near

but I can't shake off this feeling that
the failing is in you
