I think my luck [bad word] out, if only you could see me now i think i'd make you proud. 
Does it even matter? we said our goodbyes, with tears in our eyes we'll be just fine. 

Times have changed and so have I, I remember the days we spent together. 
They have a spot in my heart, they have a spot in my heart forever.

 I want to thank you for showing me a spot on image of the person that i will not grow to be.
Thankfully, a blessing in disguise will guide me down the path to a better life.
