In the night
the moon burns bright
just waiting for it’s fall
as a new day is wakened by the dawn.

With a face from my memory
I draw near … see it is me.
Leave those who could not believe 
See how dark is their fate.

Webs littered across the trail
take in the weak and frail 
I’m left to recall my tale 
as the sky starts to fade. 

Round and round, this old record will spin 
Hiding deep the tragedies brought down with a grin. 
Fight for life and the honor of pride 
I will go on and draw out my blade in to this night.

Light the fire, raise me higher with no end in sight.
Show a smile that’s been tarnished by the hands of pain. 
Even if I fall, even if blood spills, I’ll stand up tall and fight! 
And will offer a prayer along the way
 [bad word] in new days for sharpened blades to stain.
