What people say is how you can tell
Morality is just another term for eternity
We are defined by it and live it right here, right now 
You say we'll burn in [bad word] 
Your heart lights the flames
And if I see you there, 
Then you're the one to blame

So search inside and tell me what you find 
Sift through broken bones and other things I’ll never know 
I know what I want to see 
But to ask might be too bold

Where is evil if not within? 
It's no longer a matter of the devil and god
"Monsters" do the good deeds and “Saints” do evil things 
My world is one of confliction 
jungle wasteland beyond description 
I see angels sharpen their pitchforks 
For the greater good, no cost and no remorse

And I search inside unsure what I'll find
Be it dust and stone Or a broken down soul 
All I ever wanted you to see was a heart made of gold
