On a Sunday in June every year
There’s a phrase that you’re going to hear
Happy Father’s Day, and that’s what we’ll say
To dads, everywhere, far and near

They are the people who watched us grow
And taught us so much of what we know
Our fathers are special and deserve our thanks
So be sure to tell them so

Dads - they are the fixers
When things get broken or go wrong
Dads - they are the movers
When we need help from someone strong
Dads - they’re who we look up to
The hero of our family
Dad, you mean so much to me

On that Sunday in June we can do
Lots of things that say, “I love you”
Like giving hugs and cards, playing catch in the yard
With our dads, to name a few
