in light of all that‘s happened here
I refrain from looking back
afraid of finding someone else

in darkness hides another one
with scars and bloodshot eyes
trying to believe in anything I say

my mother said

when I look at all my flaws I find
that no-one‘s here but me

in blindness I have stormed
