Oran na Cloiche (исполнитель: Kathleen McInnes & Laoise Kelly)

This is a song about the returing of the stone of destiny to Scotland by a group of Glasgow university students in 1957 on Christmas eve. This stone - the "liath fail" (stone of destinty) was the stone that the kings of Scotland were crowned on. Edward II, king of England had stolen it (though there are strong doubts as to whether he got the right one!) and took it to London in the 13th Century. It was placed under the coronation chair in Westminster Abbey. This caused a lot of mirth in Scotland - and mythed the English. Road blocks were set up between Scotland and England to try and get it back. It was eventually given back but now it is back in Scotland in Edinburgh castle.
