I walked the desert, haven't drank for days,
I was begging gods to cut me down.
With the sand under my nails, I felt the haze,
Looks like i finally found this town.

So I began to look for some water
To get my juices flow.
My eyes had stumbled on some old squatter
Whose beard was as white as snow

I said: "Hey man, i came across the sea,
And I'm looking for long lost friend.
And by the way, can you please help me?
I've gotta put this thirst to end."

As he brought me a glass of water,
"I knew him", the old man said,
"He once left town with my grand-daughter,
I'm sorry but now he's dead."

The old man said: "Here, take this thing,
It is something that he had left."
And in old man's hands I saw a ring,
With carving "For my best friend."
