In 1680 a warship city was born
To honor King Carl it was named after him
At the old square his statue are still standing so proud
And the bells from Holy Trinity Church are still ringing loud!

My hometown

Down by the docks, the winds are blowing free
From the ocean to heart of the city
Watching the warships as tey pass by
Siting down the harbor and wathch the sunset in July

Buildings from the old area, they bewitness a great time
Every street and evry stonebrick got it's history to tell
This is where I'm born, and it's here I wanna die
Our city; Karlskrona, our heart and our pride.
